So, last time I shared some details of how we’re upgrading our apartment, without knocking through walls or installing a new bathroom. We’ve made even more progress and I’ve fallen in love with how our living space looks now.
It’s great timing too, as the weather in London has taken a turn for the worse. Perfect for cuddling up on the sofa and enjoying home, rather than heading out and getting soaked. Or is that just my sometime introvert talking?
Now we have our new coffee table, sofa, cushions, rug, house plants and mirror in place, this corner of the room looks so different. I adore this sofa and haven’t actually sat in my armchair since it arrived!
We also installed a large mirror in the hallway and moved our ginormous print of the Nakagin Capsule Building in Tokyo here. It makes the entrance feel a lot bigger and reflects light into from the doors to the balcony.
A new lamp for next to my armchair, with a new sideboard, planter and large plant to finish off the space. We have so much greenery in the apartment now, it feels alive! But Frank has the green fingers in this relationship, so he’ll be tasked with keeping them alive.
I’m still waiting on a new sofa for the study, after which new blinds for the living room will be the final addition to our home. It’s been worth the money and effort to make it more welcoming and cosy, just in time for the summer to evaporate.
I wonder how long it will be before this new sofa has an imprint of my backside from evenings spent in front of Netflix?!
