A tight schedule

I’m sitting here drinking a coffee, shortly after waking up, with quite a lot ahead of me. Time to get my plan in order and get moving.

I’m flying to Barcelona tomorrow morning at 0930 for work. Once I’m done there, I fly on to Dublin for more of the same. This means a slightly more complex packing arrangement than usual, which I’ll have to get done today.

There’s no way I’m packing at 4am tomorrow morning!

Secondly, I’m going to an LGBT Craft Beer meetup later today. Yes, there is such a thing and they’re actually going to some of my favourite micro-breweries on the Bermondsey Beer Mile. It goes from 12:00 to 18:00.

So really, if I’m smart, I’ll do my packing before the six hours of beers. Unless I want to forget some key items and arrive in Barcelona without shirts or something.

I also want to get some exercise and I’m not sure lifting beers is going to cut it. I’ve met my fitness and diet goals for three days in a row and don’t really want to stop now. So I’m going to fit in a very, very long walk at some point.

Let’s not forget food! I want to have a large brunch (large but healthy) before going on a brewery tour. The last thing I need is to have a messy Saturday night while needing to wake up at the crack on Sunday.

Finally, I need to sleep. Despite all this exercise, I haven’t slept that well since coming home from Spain. I blame the lack of sun!

The upside? I’ll get to spend most of tomorrow enjoying Barcelona with no work to do and I also get to stay there Monday evening as well. Cue lots of walks in the sun and, if I can get there, some time on the beach too.

But first: another coffee.
