My appointment with the orthopaedic specialist came through and I’m seeing him tomorrow evening. Delighted to get the appointment so quickly, but equally wary of what may come of it.
I’ve a month until my next half-marathon (Run to the Beat) and I really want to have a better race than the last halfie, over at Reading (in the snow). But only if it’s safe – I don’t want to run myself into a permanently knackered knee.
Let’s hope he says all I need is some physio.
Let’s hope.
And then I can move on and get back into training again. The recent lack of running has really made a difference – I’m sure I’d be sleeping better if I was getting in a few runs each week.
Updates to follow!
