I managed just over 24km in this morning’s horrendous weather. I ran through snow, sleet and a wind that would strip the skin from your cheeks.

I layered up, including hat and gloves and was actually warmer than during last weekend’s Reading half-marathon. Also had my camel pack for fluids, so it was a much more comfortable run.

I was aiming for 30k this morning, but the wind just slowed me down and exhausted me. No running at all tomorrow as I’ll spend most of the day on trains to Paris and Strasbourg.

I feel I’ve done my bit!

Four weeks tomorrow…
