Without wanting to jinx anything, it looks like our house-hunting may have come to an end. Doubly surprising has been the supportive and helpful approach of our estate agent.
Contrary to everything I ranted about a few weeks ago!
She’s been consistently attentive and responded in a timely manner. She’s been friendly, open and honest. I know.
I’m stunned too.
The remaining agents we’ve been in contact with have, however, continued to be useless. So my theory of estate agent competence hasn’t been completely nullified.
Our offer on the apartment has been accepted, solicitors have been appointed and now the mountain of paper-work and form-filling must be addressed. I’m sure there is a multitude of things that could go wrong between now and our actual moving in, but I’m going to remain hopeful.
Based on speedy progress so far, we could be all moved in a matter of weeks, rather than months. Lots to do between now and then, but hey – it’s progress!
