Tesco are already selling Easter eggs. Just days after Christmas. I mean, come on – what the hell? And Easter isn’t even until April in 2009. It’s beyond greedy, it’s cynical and frankly quite depressing. I was amazed at how early the Christmas music and decorations appeared in shops this year – I hear Christmas muzak in a coffee shop in late October. While slightly amusing then, it was grating on the nerves by the week before Christmas.
And after Easter? Will we see Halloween masks and jack’o’lanterns?
